Chicagoland Area Small Wedding Photography

I’ve been capturing people’s stories for over 15 years, and during that time, I’ve had a few opportunities to document small weddings. While I never planned to venture into this part of the industry - typically known for being a massive undertaking - the year 2025 marks a new chapter. I’m officially stepping into this space. Storytelling is my passion, and I believe that documenting the intimate beauty of small weddings aligns perfectly with what I have to offer.

Here are the rules: No fuss, no stress, no pressure to be “perfect”. I want to hang out with fun, laid-back people who want to celebrate their love and commitment in an intimate, low-key way. That could be a small ceremony in the backyard, a civil union at the town hall or courthouse followed by lunch at a cozy restaurant, or even grabbing burgers at your favorite fast-food spot. Whatever rocks your boat.

And of course, I’ll be there to document it all. No crazy posing or face swapping in post-production - just natural beauty, honest expressions, genuine emotions, and going with the flow.

If you’re the kind of couple who values the real, unscripted moments - the ones that make your day uniquely yours - then I’m your photographer. Whether it’s the laughter over spilled champagne, the way your partner looks at you when they think no one’s watching, or the joy of being surrounded by your closest people, I’ll capture it all.

So, if you’re planning a small wedding in Chicago’s northwest suburbs (or nearby!) and want a relaxed, documentary-style photographer who truly cares about your story, let’s connect. Your love story deserves to be told exactly as it happens - messy, beautiful, and entirely yours.

Below you’ll find a short story of an adorable couple. I got to capture their small city hall wedding in Chicago a few years back. It was a windy (of course, it’s Chicago!), rainy, Fall day. Luckily in the end we got some sun, so after a yummy brunch in the nearby restaurant, we ventured out to the Millennium Park for a short stroll.

After the ceremony it was time to head outside. It stopped raining but we got a strong wind resulting in fun action shots.

We got some delicious crepes and full of energy headed down to the park.
